INTO THE HEART OF GOD
Purpose: Inviting a deeper connection with life and an experience of FEELING love, not just talking about it. To nurture the soul and connect with ourselves and others and therefore to God.
Description: A day retreat experience of cultivating an intimate communion with the loving energy of God found within each of us. Includes meditation, music, silence, mindful movements, Sufi Zikr, nature, chanting, journaling and sharing.
You Will Experience: A heartfelt connection, an opening to a greater idea for yourself, a releasing of the protective coating that blocks us from love, a clearer vision of your purpose and passion an experience of the heart.
Top off this rich weekend by enjoying a different side of Rev. Christy as she shares her original acoustic music that is both playful and spiritual, woven together with engaging storytelling and real life humor. There will be a potluck between the 11am service and the concert.

Rev. Christy will deliver the children's message at this year's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. Come out and support over 90 houses of faith standing for inclusion and diversity in the Queen City! Last year's attendance was over 1250 and this year we expect even more at St. Paul's Baptist Church.
Join Christy for a group flute lesson and take advantage of a 1/2 price lesson. Christy loves teaching this enchanting and magical instrument and for groups of 3 or more she offers the lesson at half price. Flutes will be provided for the lesson and available for purchase. Explore the practices of both the ancient and the modern day mystic and how to use their spiritual practices to enrich your life. This retreat is nurturing to the soul and assists participants in cultivating a deeper more intimate communion with the loving source energy always present in, as, around and through us. The retreat will incorporate spiritual practices from a variety of faith traditions such as Sufi Zikr, Buddhist Chanting, Law of Attraction and Native American practice. There will be journaling, meditation, movement, music and sharing. (Dress comfortably, bring your lunch and bring a journal!)

Amy's house concerts lend themselves to a mature audience and therefore are recommended for ages 18 and up.

We invite you to merge in the energy of love with us in this sacred practice. All are welcome regardless of your experience with this moving, prayerful meditation. Our time together will include an introduction to Sufi Zikr and a brief description of the differences between Sufi Dancing and Sufi Zikr.
